Minority Rules

March 22, 2010 by · 1 Comment

roberts report onlineSunday night the House of Representatives voted 219-212 to pass the health care bill. For the first time in the history of the United States the federal government will now require every American to purchase something whether they want to or not, whether they need it or not.

The bill still includes abortion funding, yet late Sunday, a group of 12 pro-life democrats (oxymoron?) were persuaded to support the bill based on an executive order from the President that claims to nullify the requirement for funding of abortion with tax payer’s money.  Keep in mind, an executive order is not a law, although it can be enforced like one. An executive order can be repealed easily at the discretion of any president in the future.  If the language was part of the law, it would require the passage of an additional law or a repeal of the original law to remove it.  Needless to say, the executive order places the issue of tax payer funded abortion at the mercy of the morals of all future politicians that serve as president. Hardly reassuring!

If they really wanted it in the law and they really intend to follow-through on the promise, why wouldn’t they add it to the legislation? Probably because is will never come to fruition. Your tax dollars will fund abortions. Period.

Consider this:  there are over 306 million Americans in which a vast majority have good health care, better than anywhere in the world. Yet we just passed legislation that causes such a major, aggressive overhaul to accommodate a small minority of people without coverage.  It a premiere example of how liberal and progressive policies will make sweeping power grabs and hide behind the guise that they are helping a minority citizen.

So what can you do?  Get MAD! Get involved! Get educated!  Do not get violent.  Read. Read the Constitution. Understand it. Throw out the gibberish you learned in high school social studies as it is most likely incomplete and best and probably inaccurate. Start here and then go here. And spread the word. Send this to your friends and family. Tweet this. Share it on Facebook. Do whatever it takes to keep spreading the word.

Those of us that are “political” have been awake for quite a while. Many, many more are now awake.  Help wake up the rest!

Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, Japaneese architect of the attack on Pearl Harbor
